Does my child have Autism?

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), 1 in 68 children are in the Autism spectrum today. Boys are 4-5 times more likely to have Autism versus girls. In the United States, over 3 million are diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and the numbers continue to grow.

Thomson Memory Center works with many area physicians and therapists to help patients who potentially have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. Our neuropsychological evaluation includes assessment, diagnosis, and recommendations to help your child achieve his/her highest level of functioning.

Common symptoms may include one or more of the following:

  • Problems making friends
  • Lacks understanding of social situations
  • Rigid thinking
  • Highly focused interests
