Is your child struggling academically? No matter what the age, early diagnosis and intervention can help. The best hope we have of treating any kind of learning disorder is catching it early. Earlier diagnosis allows for interventions before academic problems get worse. Our doctors are available to attend school meetings and advocate for effective accommodations to make sure your child gets the help needed. If your child's doctor recommends an evaluation for a reading or math disorder, schedule an appointment right away.


Symptoms of a possible learning disorder include one or more of the following:

  • delayed developmental milestones
  • may not be progressing in school
  • exhibits difficulties in everyday life
  • difficulty with reading
  • math is aversive
  • difficulties with paying attention in class
  • easily frustrated with academic tasks
  • requires an excessive amount of time to complete academic tasks or homework
